HumbersideProbation Trust’s Diversity Policy Statement
Humberside Probation Trust places a high priority on recruiting and developing a diverse workforce and in providing services which are accessible and acceptable to victims, offenders, their families and the communities we serve.
The Disability Equality Scheme together with the Race Equality Scheme, and other approaches to diversity, provide a framework for us to make this vision a reality. This will include conducting an impact assessment for all our policies and functions and working in partnership with relevant staff and community groups.
We want to achieve excellence in our work with diversity but recognise that it will be a challenging journey for all of us to achieve this aspiration.
Steve Hemming
Chief Executive Officer
Humberside Probation Trust
The Humberside Probation Trust is fully committed to providing a local probation service that recognises the increasing diversity of the population of Humberside and a service which provides for equal access and equal opportunities for all service providers and users.
A strategic intention of the Trust is, through the publication of this Diversity Strategy, to ensure that diversity issues are embedded within all aspects of the Trust ’s policies and activities.
The Board and myself have a duty as well as a desire to provide local leadership on these matters and ensure that this probation area is well placed to follow good modern practices in relation to all aspects of Diversity issues.
