Work With Us

Humberside Probation Trust works with a number of partner organisations Scroll down the page to see some of our partners to help us achieve our aims to protect the public, reduce reoffending and support the victims of crime. These partners add their own specialist knowledge and expertise to the tasks of reducing offending and making safer the diverse communities we serve.

We are a core member of the Humberside Criminal Justice Board (CJB) which comprises all agencies working within the Criminal Justice System. Humberside CJB works to extend the range of projects which help to reduce offending and to improve the effectiveness of our offender management.

We have strong links with the Police, especially through the Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) which enable us to manage dangerous offenders when they return to live in the community, Humberside Probation Trust co-operates with local agencies through Community Safety Partnerships to help offenders settle in stable accommodation, adding oversight and support where necessary. We work closely with providers of education, training and employment to allow offenders an opportunity to live constructive lives, and with drug and alcohol service providers to reduce offenders’ substance misuse.

We also put arrangements in place to tackle persistent and prolific offenders, to advise on managing financial problems and to provide ‘mentors’ to offenders. Partners make a critical contribution to Humberside Probation Trust’s job of reducing offending. Funding partner organisations helps us provide extra services for offenders and enables us to monitor their progress more rigorously. This makes Humberside a safer place.

Training Opportunities for Partner Agencies

Humberside Probation Trust prides itself on training its staff with relevant and useful courses. We are now offering partner agencies the opportunity to attend training events organised throughout the year.

These training events range from specialist subjects such as Domestic Violence Awareness and Introduction to Working with Sex Offenders, to events which give delegates the skills to cope with everyday demands in the workplace e.g. Time Management and Managing Pressure.

Training events are held in one of four fully equipped training rooms including an IT Suite at our Liberty House West building, Hull.
